Parent Forum

Our Parent Forum is made up of and represents parents. It’s run by parents with the support of the school.

The Parent Forum provides an excellent opportunity for parents to come together, share ideas, and put forward their views to the head teacher and governors of the school. It aims to break down barriers between the school and parents, and enable the easy exchange of views and ideas between us all.

Every Parent Forum evolves differently depending on the nature of the school, but they all serve two distinct but related purposes:

  • Give parents a voice and increase their active involvement in decision-making, fostering a culture of ownership and participation.
  • Develop a partnership between the school and parents/carers in order to support and promote the pupils’ learning and keep improving our school.

At Charles Dickens there are regular forum meetings for any parent to attend. The forum has also made a welcome booklet for new parents to introduce them to the school from a parent’s perspective.

If you want to be on the Parents Forum mailing list – let us know by emailing dickensparents@gmail.com.
